American Style vs. International Style

There are two major styles of contemporary ballroom dance; American style and International Style. The American style was developed in America by major independent studios while International Style was developed by the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) in Great Britain. Both styles are popular in the United States, however most of the world uses the International style. Below is the American style curriculum.
